On the 21st, YG Entertainment, the agency of Baby Monster, announced that the music video for “Batter Up” surpassed 200 million views on YouTube on the 19th at 11:23 PM.

This achievement was made in approximately 53 days since its release on December 27, setting the record for the fastest among K-pop debut music videos to reach this view count.

The “Batter Up” music video garnered 22.59 million views in just one day, competing fiercely for the title of the K-pop debut song with the highest 24-hour view count (50 million views in 4 days). Subsequently, it broke the record for the shortest time to reach 100 million views (18 days) among debut music videos of K-pop groups. On the 5th, it also claimed the top spot on the consecutive global YouTube daily music video chart.

The song “Batter Up” is also enjoying consistent popularity, topping iTunes song charts in 21 countries worldwide upon release and reaching the pinnacle of global charts. Within 8 days of release, it secured positions on the Billboard Global 200 (101st) and Billboard Global (49th) charts. It also achieved the fastest 10 million streams on Spotify among K-pop girl group debut songs.

Baby Monster is set to release their second single, “Stuck In The Middle,” on February 1, followed by the release of their first mini-album in April.
